Event Start

The Trivia Challenge

The Trivia Challenge is held at event headquarters. The Trivia Challenge tests general knowledge with thirty multiple choice questions, the last ten of which serve as tie-breakers. A team's starting position is determined by its performance on the Trivia Challenge.

The teams with the highest scores begin first. Teams are released from event headquarters in groups arrayed by their Trivia Challenge score. To enter the chute, your Trivia Challenge score, team number and release group are verified.

The official event clock begins the moment the first team leaves event headquarters. Approximately thirty minutes later, the last-scoring teams will leave event headquarters. The official event clock applies to all teams.

Example: Your team's Trivia Challenge score is in the top 25 percent. Twelve groups of twenty-five teams are released every two-three minutes. You're placed in fourth group, and leave roughly ten minutes after the first group.
