The last race of the 2002 inaugural season thanks, Urban
Challengers across the nation!
Winners:
Urban Challenge Dallas was swept by out-of-towners. Like a Mongolian
horde, three teams from Austin took the top three slots. Husband
and wife Marcy and John Beard
nabbed the first place slot, with Kipley Fiebig and Robert Butler
taking second, followed by Becky Drost and Jim Sampson. "We
shoulda formed a mob," was the group consensus.
Hugh Mainard and Robert Smoler took the fourth place
slot in what is their 3rd Urban Challenge of the season (Team Three
to Get Ready). These boys are ready for Vegas! Complete
list of winners »
Checkpoints:
A loop through downtown and then out to Highland Park. Challengers
saw more of Dallas in one day than most of them had seen in years.
