Great!
It hurts. It's hot. I'm tired. I love it.
The sh*t was hard … physically, mentally, totally!!
Love hate race!
Excellent fun.
We had a great time … the clues really challenged us but, even as out of towners, we were able to solve them with the help of locals. Everyone was so friendly, we really had a fun time … can't wait to do it again! --Mike & Cathie
I plan to quit my job and study trivia, bus schedules and run non-stop til next year!
Lots of fun, great group of staff organizers, let's do it again, I'll help you w/ gettin the word out. --Team Olden Sloe
Trying to find the damn Whirley Thing and Old Farts Auto!

An intense group of Challengers for Urban Challenge Miami, which was challenging because it was held in Fort Lauderdale!

Winners:
Anita Allen and Arthur Sarakas took the honors of first place. Sarakas opened the first running shoe store in the Fort Lauderdale area, so we were proud of have an old-schooler of the scene take the prize. Andy Wiener and Mandy Miller took second. Miller, an adventure racing veteran and Ironman qualifier, has broken three ribs and suffered four concussions in a long list of injuries attained while living the adventure life. She almost added another one as her foot disappeared into a hidden hole while racing towards Las Olas bridge. She rolled like a pro, and watching challengers were amazed to see her run back, reach past her elbow into the hole and pull out her shoe. Congrats to all our tenacious challengers. Checkpoints:
About half of the field biffed a checkpoint, and almost all were different misses. Going to the machinist's (not seafarers) union, guessing at the wrong drawbridge, going to Shirttail Charlie's instead of Ernie's … a series of headslapping errors that went down easier with the cold beers and stories at Sloppy Joe's. It's hard to think in the heat, folks. Check out the checkpoints »

Trivia Challenge:
In "The Brady Bunch," who brought Alice the meat? Test yourself with the Fort Lauderdale Trivia Challenge »

Thanks:
Our thanks to Sloppy Joe's (www.sloppy-howl.com) for their polite attention and free round for the UC crew. Thanks also to our Skip Man, Glenn Norris, who just happened to be a former challenger visiting from San Diego. Good thing he dropped by, cuz once again our Skip Woman slept in and turned off her cell phone.
