took place in Las Vegas — a city where nobody is from and yet
everyone knows, a fantastic city where anything is possible and
the right move will get you $50,000 in a heartbeat.

Start and Trivia Challenge
The long day started with teams arriving just after dawn to Jillian's,
official race headquarters. Racers spent the time before the Trivia
Challenge hydrating, stretching, and meeting other teams.
The Trivia Challenge began with a rousing video featuring footage
from all the races of the 2002 season. "We would've gone out
and went to war barehanded after that video!" was how one Urban
Challenger described it.
The semifinals Trivia Challenge was probably the most difficult
to date (see the trivia). Scores were
lower than regular season's, despite this being the cream of the
UC crop. Two teams, unfortunately, forgot to write their team number
at the top of their cards, and found out the hard way that they
were to be the last to leave. Ouch!
