How did you two meet?
Met through the Leukemia Societies "Team in Training" while
training for the San Diego Rock n Roll Marathon - '98
What do you like best about
Urban Challenge: Exactly what your slogan say's - Think
on the run", it wasn't until we were about three hours into
the Urban Challenge race did I realize in all my marathon's
all I did was follow the butts running in front of me and
keep focused on a positive attitude to get through. The Urban
Challenge adds a whole new dimension - Must have a good team,
preparation, race strategy, endurance, luck and a little bit
of "MACGYVER" creativeness on the fly to win.
How are you preparing for
the finals? First, I am reading my "Conquering Casino
Craps" again so if I don't win the 50G's I can win at the
craps table. Second, watch a lot of football and world series
incase there are sports questions... and of course carbo-load
with Bud. Third, I might also plan to read the World Almanac
to brush up on my trivia.
Advice for the competition?
watch out baby!! - It's a 2,800 miles to las vegas. We've
got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark,
and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it!!! Watch out cause we're
hall 'n ass and on a mission ....
