Urban Challenge

LA Racers say

Dear UC, Michele and I had a great time and a ton of fun! The person who came up with the places and clues is very evil and probably does very scary things during Halloween! But what a blast, will be back again next year! Your organization was great! Very well run and worth while! Haven't stopped telling everyone how much fun we had. Might see us in San Diego to race again! —Robert H.

It was an interesting race and we had alot of fun doing it!!! —Benjamin T.

Had a great time and look forward to doing it again. Thanks. —Jason

I am not a runner or work-out person, just an an average working girl, but had the time of my life. What a challenge it was mentally and physically. I finished the race with a sprained swollen ankle and a smile on my face. It was loads of fun and I would (will) do it again next year, without a doubt. Thank you for a wonderful day. Good luck with all your cities to come. —Kathy W., The Ewokians - aka - The not athletic team!

LOTS OF FUN. Thanks for a great race, we had so much fun we might sign up for San Diego to try to qualify for Las Vegas! —Catherine I.

Thanks for the great time! Me & my friend Chuck can't stop talking about it. It was organized really well & such a great way to meet people. I've included some stuff about it on my web site. Check it out if you have a chance! —Kristy M.

I really enjoyed Urban Challenge on Saturday. I didn't enjoy it so much on Sunday, when I couldn't walk down a flight of stairs; my house is three stories, so Urban Challenge was very much on my mind. ; ) —Cathryn

That race rocked! We had so much fun and may well see you in August down in San Diego. You guys have a great thing going here… keep up the good work! Until next time… take care. Sincerely, —Tath and Luke

Boy you guys are good. Great organization, great clues. Everyone from LA Tri had a great time - sign us up for next year. At least one team is doing San Diego this year but you'll have a lot more LA Tri members next year in LA. —Gil S.

After having a couple of days to reflect (and recover) from Urban Challenge: Los Angeles, I wanted to send you an email to give you my feedback on the event. My overall feeling about the event? It was just about the most fun activity I've ever participated in. I've been trying to describe to people what the feeling is like to find a checkpoint during the race. I think it may be akin to striking a golf ball perfectly or swinging a baseball bat and connecting right on the sweet spot. Your organization did an outstanding job on Saturday. Everybody that we met on Saturday that either worked or volunteered for you was friendly and outgoing and made this couch potato feel welcome at the event. —John Van W.

Results are in! John "Jack" Courtney and Jeff Atkinson took the event with an impressive win. It sure helps being a former Olympic miler!

To the right are the top 10 finishers, all of whom qualify to go to our Las Vegas Championship. Congrats!

Our thanks to the folks at Dublin's who helped us make this a great event.
