Armageddon? Checkpoint 2 is at ____ West 47th. To find out the street address, find out more about Ida and Dactyl in the cosmos. Get your photo with some signage out front at that address cuz it's Checkpoint 2.

That Wacky Dude! This pub lost its lease when CBS decided it needed to go "yupscale" near the Ed Sullivan Theater. Its current location is Checkpoint 3.

Woof! Woof! In Central Park, find the statue that shares its name with an animated feature by Spielberg. It's Checkpoint 4.

You scream, I scream... Checkpoint 5 is an ice cream sign attached to a building luring customers to a little shop nearby that shares its name with the grill a couple doors away. Find it within a half mile of the spot where John Lennon was shot for Checkpoint 5.

Under the Sea? Checkpoint 6 is an establishment that shares its name with an island said to have been engulfed by the ocean as the result of an earthquake more than a couple of years ago. Any signage from its Fulton Mall area location will do.

A natty spot! Checkpoint 10 is a Greenwich area establishment that shares its name with a painting. The creator of the painting, born in Tuscany, served as court painter to the King and later lived in Rome under the patronage of the Pope. By the way, the artist seems to have had a special affection for the painting, because he took it everywhere with him after he painted it.

Did he use crayons? Within one half mile of Union Square find the bust of a long-dead member of the New York bar who, thank goodness, went bankrupt in business and decided to pursue a career for which he is fondly remembered. Get a photo with the bust cuz it is Checkpoint 11.
