New York shattered all previous records when almost 300 racers
took on Manhattan and Brooklyn in an effort to win a trip to the
Nationals in Vegas. The weather broke slightly allowing racers a
wet 80 degree day to race through Gotham.

Winners:
The Big Apple was apparently chewy as more than three hours passed
before Kimberly and Paul Niehaus, the husband and wife team from
east 54th Street crossed the finish line with a winning time of
3:39:20. Right behind them was Team NYC-Ya with New York natives
and old friends, Sean Grant and Terence Gerchberg, claiming second
place. Complete

Checkpoints:
The Urban Challenge course required winners to race from midtown
to Central Park and then riding the rails to the Brooklyn promenade.
From there, racers searched for boxing gloves in the financial district
and headed north through Little Italy, Greenwich, and Times Square.
