Today I may be Fat, beat up, broke Black and blue (Literally I'm a bit out of shape), but next year I'll be trim fit and back for round two. Can't wait until the next event.
--No Breaks
It was fantastic, I had the time of my life. Thanks for all your hard work.It went so smooth and seemed to be so well run, it really added to the fun. We will see you again in 03.
Thanks for including San Diego in your tour! What a blast!
What a great time my son and I had yesterday. We're here in San Diego on vacation visiting family, so we were a little worried about how we would do in a city that is almost completely foreign to us. Thankfully we had ONE support person - my brother-in-law was available via cell phone all day and gave us all kinds of great info so that we were able to make it to all the checkpoints. My son and I couldn't stop talking about the whole experience for the rest of the day, but what was more amazing was that everyone else in the family wanted to keep hearing more and more about it too. A GREAT race, a TERRIFIC experience, WONDERFULLY organized. Although I'll be out of town when Urban Challenge hits DC this year (my home town), I will be back next year SOMEWHERE!
I had the greatest time! We did horribly on the trivia and we did not have outside help!! We will be more prepared next challenge. It was so great! Thanks.
Thank you so much for putting on such a wonderful event. I had the time of a lifetime. We may not have gotten all the correct answers, but getting to those answers were absolutely rewarding. Each time we got to a checkpoint, our enthusiasm to get to the next one became even greater. We were hoping to finish with all the correct answers, but I was happy enough with what we accomplished. Also, finding the Skipman was a great thing (even if he had to shout at us to get his attention!). Thanks Skipman for getting our attention! We would have run right pass you. =) Thank you for the Adventure.
THIS WAS THE FUNNEST, BESTEST AND AMAZINGEST;-) RACE WE'VE EVER DONE, and I've been a competitive athlete in my home Germany and here for a total of 13 years, and I've worked on the organizational side as well. This was definitely the bomb! You guys have the best organizational and creative skills ever, the race was perfect! It was tough, it was fun, and I've already told everyone I know about it!!!! Right now we're looking into maybe getting to one of the remaining cities to try again. --Sylley
My teammate and I of "Black and Tan" enjoyed every minute of it. The muscle soreness, my healing plantar faciitis, my teammate's twisted knee, and the muscle cramps on both of our calves we suffered through the last two checkpoints of the race were worth our efforts. We are totally looking forward to next year's race and will be recruiting many of our friends; and at the same time, anticipating more challenging-physical and mental-tasks.
We did LA and we did San Diego!! It's such a high to do these races! If we
had the time and money, we'd follow you around the country! It's an awesome way to see a city!!!
Wow! This was intense.
Intense fun - this is pushing yourself and your tolerance of your teammate.
It was a fun event. The staff were excellent and friendly. Theorganization was efficient with the Mac automation of the quiz and photo slide shows.
This was awesome!
This was the ultimate physcial and mental challenge! --deja vu
It was harder than I expected but I had more fun than I expected. I'll be cursing you all tomorow as I struggle out of bed.
This rocked!!! Lots of fun...
The 3 Keys! Brains, brawn and a really good phone-a-friend!
When I thought about doing this race, it was for fun with no cance to win, when you start "urban challenging" you totally get competitive! I loved it, let's do it again!
COOL
Good entertaining run
Outstanding!
****in'-A!
Ooga! --Team Fergaboo
This was so much fun! Thank you! I'm definitely coming back next year to win!
Creatively organized and challenging to the end. Thank you for the opportunity.
Rock on! --Teem Dum and Dummer
This was the most fun I've had while nearly collapsing.
It was a lot of fun. Very challenging and exciting. --Osci
This is one twisted race! Awesome!
We're here from DC on vacation and had an absolute BLAST. We will do it again and again and again!
I'm ready to sleep for a week!
It was the funnest race I've ever done.

A large and thoroughly athletic crowd filled up race headquarters in Urban Challenge's favorite vacation city — San Diego!

Winners of the Trivia Challenge were fortunate enough to be on tv, as we had a live remote broadcast of the first wave of Challengers. Included in the wave were first- and second-place finishers from Los Angeles, who were out to grab another win. How did they do? Read on!

Winners:
Locals Kim Paine and Ray Cox nabbed the first place title and free trip to Vegas. Kim recruited Ray at the last moment to run the race, and not expecting to win, FREAKED OUT when they were handed the first place card. How did the LA crew do? David Olds, 2nd placer from LA, nabbed 3rd place San Diego with a new partner, Damian Garcia. Jake and Jeff, winners of the LA race, came in 8th after a bit of hard luck in finding clues in the slightly foreign town. Complete list of winners »
