:-)
HOLY FREAKING CRAP THAT WAS FUN!
Awesome! What a memorable way to celebrate my 35th Bday!
We TOTALLY had fun!! Thanks!!
This was a TON of fun and we shall do it again.
Speaking for half of "Team Smartass" I want to say we had blast. Despite that this course covered two cities, it was fast paced, exciting, and well coordinated. You can be proud of what you've put together here. We certainly hope you'll be back next year. We're getting people excited about next year already! Thanks again for the great job y'all did.
Had a blast - even if we uh.. came in a little later then the rest of the teams.
I was very impressed with the organization of the event. People were very friendly and helpful.
Had tons o' fun (if tired)

Twin Cities Challengers raced from St. Paul to Minneapolis and back again in the longest distance Urban Challenge so far. Hardy Minnesotans, be proud!

Amazing action photoWinners:
Catherine and Terrence Lee (married engineers) came in first in our closest race so far. A mere 14 seconds behind them was Richard Chin and Jenny Stohl. The two teams smoked the competition — the next batch of runners came in 30 mintues later. The Lees are avid marathoners-triathletes-adventurers, and were the first to sign up for the Twin Cities race.
The Lees kept up a "frantic pace" with Chin and Stohl on their back. Chin (a reporter for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, read his article) and Stohl were decked out in party hats and bandaids. Their friend who helped them couldn't talk on the phone and be on the Internet at the same time. Did it cost them the 14 seconds? It's enough to keep you awake at night. Regardless, they'll meet again in Vegas. Complete list of winners »

Checkpoints:
A 30-minute bus ride was pretty much mandatory to get from the St. Paul checkpoints to the Minneapolis side. The challengers welcomed the cool air, a chance to solve checkpoints, and mingle with the competition.
A particularly tricky checkpoint was the "plaque in the rock" spot. A gardener parked her van in front of the plaque and countless Challengers raced on by before doubling back and looking closer. Truly, we did not send her out to confuse you!
Rachael Auchinleck and Mark Schlichting were followed by KSTP-5 during the race. The coupled, engaged to be married in August, did well under the scrutiny. One lucky break was the bus driver stopping at the Tangerine Dreams checkpoint, waiting for them to take the photo, and letting them back on. Score! Check out the checkpoints »

Thanks:
Our thanks to Joseph's for the good venue and great food. The walleye sandwich is primo. Thanks once again to the local Red Bull crew for hanging with us and the Challengers.
