Our first race of the 2004 season was also Saint Louis's first race, and we're off with a bang. Two Magnificent Seven teams flew in, as well as a surprising number of semifinalists from years past. And the winner is …

Results: Catherine and Terrence Lee rolled across the finish line first, well under two hours and with a bloody knee on Terrence. "We screwed up," said Catherine, explaining that they ran ahead to a Metrolink station instead of backtracking a bit to get to a closer station. Upon second thought, they realized they lost no time, as they ran fast enough to beat the train anyway. Sheesh, keep these kids away from the tracks!

Second place went to Tom Carnahan and Matt O’Leary, with third going to Mark and Claudia Richman. See all the results»
