Miami Semifinals
November 20, 2004
The best of the best (download our PDF poster with all the contenders) converged on Miami for the 3rd annual Urban Challenge International Championships and the race for $50,000. Once again, two races were held on the same day: the semifinals in the morning, with the top seven of that race (the Magnificent Seven) going on to race for the gold and the glory later in the day at the finals (see the finals pages).
- Semifinals Results: It's all about getting into that top seven in the semifinals, which means walking the deadly tightrope of speed and checkpoint surety. Who got in? See the semifinals results»
- Semifinals Checkpoints: It was everybody's guess as to where the checkpoints were going to be, and the checkpoints ended up being in Miami Beach (duh!) and the downtown Miami area. Plenty of twists popped up in the race: crossing the bay, negotiating transit with the PeopleMover down for repairs, and the much beloved drawbridges! View the checkpoints»
- Semifinals Photos: Welcome to Miami, wackiness by the waves. See 'em»
